I Love Tea!

I love tea and it’s nice to partake in this fulfilling activity. Drinking tea is an art, and the procedure involved in making and serving this beverage is special.  Tea making is not just boiling some water and sticking a tea bag in your cup, instead the process of making a great cup of tea consists of much, much more.

  1. OK, I used my new teapot and Raspberry Riot Lemon Mate Tea. Wow...so good. The teapot is awesome so easy to use and you can save the leaves in the refrigerator for later use. However, the best part is the fact that you just place it over a cup and the tea instantly drains into your cup. Here is the link to Teavana for the teapot and tea.

    P.S. It is not called a Teapot...it is a Tea Maker....!!!!

  2. What is TEA...Tea comes from one plant, a warm-weather evergreen tree called Camellia sinensis.

    The difference in black, green and white being in simply in the way it's processed. The more it's processed, the darker the leaves become: black tea is the most processed and white and green are less.

    Herbal tea is a blend of herbs and is not really a tea at all.

    Teas do contain caffeine, but not as much as coffee. A cup of black tea has about 60 mg., white tea has 50 mg and green tea has about 30 mg. And herbal teas have none. In comparison, a cup of (drip) coffee contains about 90 mg of caffeine, and regular cola has about 45 mg.

    Health benefits of Tea are ever expanding.

    · Tea has been found to be high in antioxidants called Polyphenols.

    · They have anti-carcinogenic properties that may lower cholesterol levels.

    · Green tea has been recommended for its ability to speed up your metabolism and fight belly fat, as well as stimulate the immune system to fight disease;

    · White tea extract has been studied in slowing the growth of bacteria that cause infections and even work on the activity of enzymes that wear down the skin's proteins elastin and collagen.

    · Black tea is thought to reduce the risk of heart attacks and strokes due to its ability to expand the arteries and increase blood flow to the heart.

  4. OK, it's spring break and time is ticking away. The last few months have been awful. Haven't written much...too depressed about our house. No one would probably believe all the issues we have encountered. The worst issue has to do with my master bedroom and bathroom. Apparently there has been some sort of water damage and the growth of mold. I am very allergic to mold and can no longer even enter either room. I have moved all my belongings to our guest room. We have a plumber that is checking into the problem. Keep me in your prayers.
